Rhobell Fawr 11th Nov 2006 RESULTS

Conditions were cold, dry, overcast and windy for the Rhobell Fawr race which took place from Llanfachreth, near Dolgellau, on Saturday 11th November. The race was won by Lloyd Taggart of Dark Peak in a time of 47 minutes and 20 seconds. This was more than 3 minutes inside the old record held by Colin Donnelly! Steve Gilliland of Bro Dysynni was 2nd in 52.30 (also 1st over 40), and Roland Stafford of Mercia was 3rd in 53.04. First over 50 was Ed Davies of Mercia finishing 4th overall in 55.01 and the over 60 category was won by John Marsh of Tarren Hendre in 64.12. The ladies race was won by Jackie Lee of Eryri in a time of 57.54, one minute inside her old record. Phoebe Webster of Aberystwyth University was 2nd in 60.26 and Andrea Roberts of Eryri 3rd in 61.41. First over 40 was Kate O'Sullivan of Aberystwyth in 71.42 and the over 50 category was won by Maggie Oliver of Eryri in 76.54. .....Longer but localised report from the Brodysynni site
