Jubilee Plunge        30th December 2017       Results

A heavy snow fall the day before race followed by an overnight thaw ensured this year’s Plunge from Moel Famau to the Golden Lion, Llangynhafal was both a muddy and a slippery affair. It was a challenge for runners to stay upright for the whole of the descent, as was evidenced by some mud plastered legs and kit at the finish line.

In spite of the conditions, Michael Corrales (North Wales Road Runners) was the first runner home in 11.08m, a quicker time that he won the race last year on a much firmer course. Stephen Skates (Prestatyn) crossed the line in second place (11.47m) followed by Gary House (Runstrong) in third (12.09m)

Hayley Evans (Buckley) was first lady in 14.18m, followed by Lisa Grantham (Pensby) 16.00m and local runner Victoria Whitehead (Outfit) 16.01m

Many thanks to the marshals who made the race possible and to the supporters for their much appreciated cheering
