The lovely Carmarthen Fells are a rarely visited part of the Brecon Beacons – no gravel pathways, burger vans, or ‘tourist snake’ ascending the fells as you may find elsewhere. This makes for a quiet and remote running experience with few paths to follow other than sheep trods. Nice!

The Tafarn Y Garreg is a good race HQ and makes a great starting point for several hill adventures. After the race we lazed outside in the sunny, Greek styled Taverna and consumed the provided bruschetta and chips.
