This year the race was a counter in the British Championships and attracted a strong field from all over the UK. It was also a counter in the inov-8/WFRA Welsh Championships and North Wales Series (sponsored by planetFear). Weather was good - dry, sunny intervals, cool breeze and the summit was clear. Underfoot conditions were boggy in places after the heavy rain of the previous day. The race was won by Morgan Donnelly of Borrowdale in a record time of 1.22.55. The ladies race was won by Philippa Maddams of Keswick also in a new record time of 1.39.08.
