Great turn out from local clubs plus a happy bunch of Pensby Runners from up the Wirral supporting this popular race. On a slightly cooler evening than of late, Jez Brown was chased hard by Neil Parry but held him off to win with Peter Taylor coming in third. Laura Bestow of West Cheshire benefitted from altitude training to win the ladies race in a fast time choosing a giant water pistol as her prize. Jane Ashbrook and Sandra Rowlands completed the ladies top three. The promising junior runner Karl Steinegger of Ambleside took a top ten position and a case of beer.
