High tide meant a road start for this years race which was blessed with fine weather again. Peter Haworth led from start to finish, with last years winner, Paul Jenkinson passing Meirion Evans on the rocky/wet section of

the descent to take second. Fine runs from juniors Lisa Peters and Morgan Evans (Menai clubmates) with Lisa managing to stay ahead of Morgan by a few seconds.  The youngest competitor, Bronwen Jenkinson, finished in eleventh place.   With two different starts to this race (the beach start involves a stiff climb from the sand) there are obviously two sets of record times.
