The Llantysilio Mountain race took place from Rhewl, near Llangollen on Saturday 12th April.
This race was the 2nd counter in the Welsh Fell Runners Association 2008 North Wales Series.
Weather conditions were cold with sunny intervals and showers. The race was won by Richard Roberts of Eryri in a time of 48 minutes and 54 seconds. Matt Gilbert of Wrexham Tri was 2nd in 49.20 and Stan Charles of Clwydian 3rd in 51.17. First over 40 was Michael Johnson of Kenilworth in 54.34 and the over 50 category was won by Ed Davies of Mercia in 55.38. First over 60 was Peter Roberts of Buckley in 64.01. The ladies race was won by Anna Bartlett of Shrewsbury in a time of 57.32. Andrea Roberts of Eryri was 2nd in 59.50 and Hannah Toberman of Eryri 3rd in 65.57. The over 40 category was won by Yvonne Hill of Ranelagh in 67.50 and first over 50 was Stephanie Charman of Helsby in 83.15. The over 60 category was won by Maggie Oliver of Eryri in 77.28. |
