Push up the Pincyn      Sat 25th July      Photos      Results

The 2015 Push-up-the-Pincyn race had a reduced field this year as another race, which was a championship counter for a number of local clubs, clashed with the popular village show in Clawddnewydd.

23 athletes started and took on the 'big bale', which at 4 foot tall challenged the best to clear it en route to the climb up to Pincyn Llys in the heart of Clocaenog forest. Race regular Mark Williams, F1 KL, led from the out with a gaggle of new faces - Andy Pritchard, Buckley, Gary Porter-Jones, Eryri and Jon Bowyer, Mold chasing.

The top four maintained their positions to the finish in brilliant sunshine, Jon taking male vet 40 to first local lad and vet 50 winner Neil Dalleywater in an impressive 54:51. Denbigh Harrier Ceri Belshaw looked relaxed as she crossed the line as First Lady in 57:55 to Buckley's Hayley Evans and Hayley Turner, Eryri. Peter Roberts, Buckley has still got it in winning vet 70 and even nipping in before vet 60 stalwart Kenny Hughes.

Shan Kerney had an interesting day out as she managed to explore parts of the area not visited by other runners and still win female vet 40.
Thanks as ever go to landowners, marshals and sponsor Jackson Fire & Security, Mold.
