A lovely clear evening in a pituresque setting range saw 78 runners set off on a changed route for this, the third race in the Clwydian Hills Summer Trots series. A close "to and fro" contest developed between the leading two runner with Stephen Kates of Prestatyn eventually managing to establish and maintain a slender lead to finish in front of Jez Brown (Buckley) with Mark Williams (F1 Runners) in third place. Local runner Ceri Belshaw of Denbigh Harriers finished as first lady with Bree Sutcliffe and Susan Fourie, both of Chester Tri, coming in together in equal second place.
