Up the Beast was more fortunate this year as the weather was superb, different to last year when it was thunder and lightning.
A very good turn out with 96 runners who all set off and all came back. This being the first time in the history of the race. Runners have always been impressed with the variation of prizes ranging from bottles of wine , bags of potatoes down to a jar of Vaseline and lots more in between.

As this was the first time all the runners came back I finally achieved my goal. So I have decided this was to be my last year for organising this race. I have had a couple of people interested in taking it on. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have helped over the eight years I have been organising this race with the marshalling, time keeping and registration.
