The snow covered conditions and a change in route required to avoid an icy stretch of road made for a particularly challenging festive run for the 37 runners who braved cold for last Sunday's Jubilee Plunge race.

In spite of the conditions Steve Toogood (Buckley) produced a very quick descent to finish in 13.07 just 9 seconds ahead of second placed Stephen Skates. Laura Bestow (Vale Royal AC) was first lady home in 14.51 with second lady Louise Beetlestone (Eryri) not far behind.
