A blazing hot evening saw a field of 90 runners set off over a challenging course that criss-crossed the Clwydians as it made its way up, and back down, Moel Famau before branching off into through some well grown heather and bracken for one last climb before descending to a fast finish. Indeed is was a fast and very close finish as a tightly fought battle saw Jez Brown just pip Mark Williams to the line to take first place. Placings were:
