A lovely evening for this year's Hotfoot up Famau race, with crystal clear views over the Vale of Clwyd and distant Snowdonia. The route was overgrown in places, particularly at the bottom of Nant y Ne, so it was harder work than usual to plough through the ferns. The men's race was won by Jez Brown of Buckley, with Victoria Whitehead of Denbigh recording an excellent first win in the female race. Dave Sargent (Eden) and Lawrence Eccles (Penny Lane Striders) were second and third overall. Alice Robinson (Tattenhall) and Kate Lightfoot (Tattenhall) came second and third in the ladies race.
