There was a record turnout as the race was the first counter in the 2014 Cotswold Outdoor North Wales Series.
It was a glorious Spring day – sunny and breezy. The course had been extended slightly with a new descent to the finish.
The race was won by Felipe Jones of Aberystwyth in a time of 51 minutes and 18 seconds, with Tim Davies 2nd and Paul Jones 3rd (both Mercia). Other category winners M40 Jez Brown (Buckley), M50 Ed Davies (Mercia), M60 Alan French (Wrexham), M70 John Morris (Buckley) 65th overall!

The ladies race was won by Andrea Rowlands in 57.53. Caitlin Rice of Glossop was 2nd and Jackie Lee of Eryri 3rd. Other category winners : F40 Val Swingler (Shropshire Shufflers), F50 Emma Collins (Denbigh), F60 Maggie Oliver (Eryri).
