The Second Race of the Meirionnydd Running Club's Winter Race series Tarran hendre, due to strong winds, was shortened on Safety advice from Mountain Rescue and ran on an alternative route which cut out the very top ridge section of the race.
This alternative route was slightly shorter but made up in being a slightly faster race. We still had most of the really muddy section on the way down to contend with and luckily, as we were in the lee of the hill, the wind didn't hinder and the rain/sleet/hail held off for most of the race............Arfon Hughes
