Record high temperatures of 28’C were reached in the Brecon Beacons as 117 runners headed out of Llanfrynach attempting to set there own personal race records. Yesterdays Pen-y-Fan winner, Hugh Aggleton of MDC, and runner up, Harold Wyber, reached the summit of Fan-y-Big together with Sean Taylor of Mynydd Du in hot pursuit. Working hard on the descent the MDC runner managed to maintain his lead to finish in 1.16.21 closely followed by Springfield Strider, Harold Wyber only 64 seconds behind.

Mercia FR Emma Gould brought home the woman’s field in a time of 1.31.05 followed by Chepstow Harrier, Niki Morgan. Special mention must go to Meinir Jones competing in her first fell race and taking first LV40 for her efforts.
