There was a large turnout as the race was a counter in both the inov-8 / WFRA Open Welsh Championships and North Wales Series (sponsored by Cotswold Outdoor). The runners had to contend with gale force winds and driving rain on the outward leg along the ridge. Fortunately, the rain relented on the return (although the wind remained strong).
